I was the Art Director on this new brand IP from n-Space, Inc. and published by Square Enix.
We started this from an initial studio concept all the way to a potential leading brand franchise on the Nintendo 3DS. I was in charge of the visual design, creating style guides, and directing concept art to establish the brand. I worked directly with Square Enix London studio team to produce various trailers, and marketing collateral for the game, including designing the game logo. I also attended E3 2011 to represent Square Enix and speak to the gaming press about the art.
The game was honored with a “Best of E3” award by Pure Nintendo and featured in Nintendo Power magazine as a leading title on the new 3DS hardware.
The game was released on June 15, 2012. The check out the main Heroes of Ruin site now for more info.

Marketing Art
I worked with Square Enix London studio and Marvel illustrator Adi Granov to produce the Key Art cover for the product as well as a print for Nintendo Power. Adi also created some key pieces for the main character classes in the game under our direction.
Concept Art
This is a small sample of the concept and character development I created for the game. This work contributed to character models and marketing materials, including Key Art produced before release.
Environments
One of the best things about creating video games is designing out new worlds to explore. These are some of the places I helped visually design for the game by creating a level theme style guide and working with our talented concept artists & modelers.
